My Search for a Passion

So, I'm in the search for a passion. You know, something you live for, that you are willing to spend loads of money on, something that you can do over and over and over again without ever getting sick of it.  Actually, I've been on the lookout for quite some time.  This lack of passions causes awkward moments every time I am asked the dreaded question "So, what do you like to do?" by a new acquaintance.  I am required to respond with something that sounds exciting; otherwise, I immediately receive a response similar to "Well, do you like to read?"  This response translates in my mind to the following:  that this new acquaintance believes that because I don't have something exciting to speak of, I must be so socially backward that all I do is get lost in worlds of fantasy and magic filled with dragons and wizards and made up games called Quidditch.  Don't get me wrong, reading can be quite enjoyable, but it is no passion to speak about with others.  My friends know I am passionless and, although they accept me for my boring self, have tried to suggest passions for me.  It just hasn't happened yet...still no passion--this is what creates the boring life of which I blog.  Here are some suggestions I've had for a passion:  rock climbing, music (piano has been mentioned specifically), denim (well, not really a suggestion, but an example of a friend's passion), photography, TV (I refuse to count this as a passion though..similar to my feelings on reading as a passion), fishing, skiing, sports, travel.  Many of these things are great suggestions from friends who care, but the majority either just don't interest me enough to blow a ton of money on them or they are not feasible given my current situation (travelling the world is kind of hard right now).  One day, though, I will find a passion.  Until then, I continue passionless. Any suggestions are welcome.
